Flower care

Cut flowers are a living and sensitive organism that responds acutely to its environment. The optimal temperature is +2 to +5 °C. Creating such conditions at home is not easy, so our team has prepared simple and effective recommendations to help prolong the life of flowers and maintain their aesthetic appearance as long as possible.

What to Do

trim stems daily with a sharp knife or pruner at a 45° angle

use clean cool water and change it daily, thoroughly washing the vase with detergent

choose a cool spot with diffused light for the bouquet

for arrangements in a basket/box, add clean cool water as the floral foam dries

Not Recommended

take the bouquet outside without protective packaging at temperatures below 0 °C, even for a short time
leave flowers without water for more than 30–60 minutes

store flowers in a car, especially in hot or freezing weather

place bouquets in direct sunlight, in drafts, or near heating devices. Avoid placing flowers near the kitchen stove and other hot appliances.

use household scissors to trim stems — they compress the vessels and reduce nutrient flow

place flowers near fruit — they release ethylene, which accelerates wilting

use a small container/vase to place the flower in water

🌿

If you plan to transport the bouquet for more than 30–60 minutes, please let us know in advance. We will prepare for free an aqua-box — a temporary vase with water that will help keep the flowers fresh during transport.

If you are unsure about proper flower care or have any questions, the FlowerBox team is always here to help. We will explain all the details and give practical tips so your bouquets stay fresh and beautiful longer.
